A fun first (with better pictures now!)

I decided to try making a patchwork blanket for Amelia. I was surprised by how fun and easy it actually was. I embroidered several squares while waiting for things (doctors, airplane flights, etc.,) and then the rest probably took 4-5 hours. The back is a really soft flannel and velveteen ribbon.

Very pretty, Ariana! I love the colors, different types of materials, and the embroidery.

It's so beautiful, really, I can say that since I saw it on my visit. I was very impressed. Your last post had exciting news, a week makes a huge difference when you've been pregnant for so many months, the anticipations just grow along with that belly. Can't wait!

Thanks!
Carol, I did NOT hand stitch most of the blanket. Just the embroidered squares. :) I wish I were that ambitious!

Bethany, I have been pretty obsessive about getting things done for the last few months. Right now, though, it is so hot and I am so puffy that it is maddening to think of all that I'd like to do, but just can't manage. I made a really obnoxious list of things I'd like to have done, room by room, before Amelia gets here. Jeff had the wisdom, boldness and kindness to let me know that it was really unreasonable! So I plug away steadily but gently....
