Urban Sprawl

While our gardener (that's me) has been on maternity leave, most of the carefully tended plants have withered and weeds have returned in full force in many beds. It's a little disheartening, but I expected as much. The vegetable garden, however, has been thriving. I will post more pictures soon, but I just love this one of our pumpkin vine scaling the fence, with a pumpkin balanced carefully on the pole, especially juxtaposed against the stucco of our neighboring apartment complex.

Try clicking on the photo to see a little bumblebee making it's descent into the squash blossom.
