So I borrowed a camera to show you how Amelia's room is coming!

The big projects the last few days have been painting, sewing curtains and going to Chinatown to buy some cute parasols.

These curtains ended up being a much more involved project than I had intended, but I have to admit that I think they're really cute...

Jeff's grandma gave him a couple of really sweet insect watercolors she had made for Christmas that are perfect for this little room.

It's weird to see litle girl clothes hanging up like this, ready to go. This is where I could use some help: The closet is really deep on either side, and I am not sure how to store things like clothes, diapers, etc., so it looks cute, tidy and accessible. Any ideas?

Ariana, the room looks so sweet and girly. I love it! Great job on the curtains.
If you have hanging space you could buy some of the hangable shelves, I think they are for sweaters or something. I've seen them in cute colors at places like Bed, Bath and Beyond. Do you know what I am talking about? We bought some and they worked great for his clothes and diapers, etc..
Ariana, I love what you're doing with that cute little space. And the dresses and little shoes are just too sweet for words.
I got some hanging compartments like the ones annie was talking about at Target. They could be a good option.
Ariana, this is a darling little space! I love it! Thanks for borrowing that camera so we could all see it!
The space just glows with those lovely colors. You have a great sense of style. I can't wait to see your little girl.
Thanks so much for the compliments and suggestions! My plan right now is to build a panel on the side the cradle is in, basically bringing the floor up a couple feet for the cradle to be higher, then putting baskets in the new bottom space to be pulled out like drawers. On the other side, I think I'll use both hanging shelves and try to find a short, wide dresser. to put on the floor there. Have any of you ever put a fold- down diaper changing shelf in?
