What did they do to our baby?

Amelia had her very first professional photo taken at three weeks. It was a promo that came with our cloth diaper service, in hopes that we would be the kind of new parents that would spend $300 or so on portraits. A photographer came and set up a studio in our living room, and then charmed and cajoled Amelia into all sorts of impossible poses. The session was one of the funniest things I have ever seen in my life! She was already crabby before the photographer arrived, and got so angry during the shoot. Somehow, however, he managed to work miracles in between the shots and coaxed her into some very sweet pictures. The above was the best one which we got for free, but she still looks mildly annoyed in the rest. I still laugh every time I look at this! I told the photographer outright that putting sunglasses, a cheesy bow headband or a plastic lace parasol on her were a complete waste of time.

That is really cute! And it is only more interesting to know that she was saying "no" to the sunglasses.

Wow! I am impressed! I have some at about this age in which you can see the thump print of the photographer on the babies arm, since he positioned her and then leapt back for the shot before the pose fell apart... Takes a special kind of person to do the job!

She is adorable!

Saturday we were up that way dropping off Espen and Abel at Heather's cousins on Milton. Not home and Gmother's cell phone battery was kaput, so we went by Ariana's. No Ariana, in fact no one at all. She walked through the place and finally found Jeff out in the back helping a friend load a van with his stuff, moving someplace. But Ariana was taking a walk with Amelia
So this is a great blog, Ariana.

What a funny story, Ariana. She's pretty cute. I agree with you on the sunglasses and headband thing. Her little baby attitude is precious, though. Tee hee. :)
